What is a hackathon?
A hackathon is best described as an “invention marathon”. Anyone who has an interest in technology attends a hackathon to learn, build & share their creations over the course of a weekend in a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. You don’t have to be a programmer and you certainly don’t have to be majoring in Computer Science.
Where will Hack For India be held?
Hack For India will be held offline at the campus of Silver Oak University (SOU) Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India. The address is: Silver Oak University, 352,353 A, Nr. Bhavik Publications, Bhavnagar Highway, Gota, Ahmedabad, Gujarat 382481

Does Hack For India help with travel reimbursements?
Unfortunately, Hack For India isn’t able to provide hackers with travel reimbursements. However, we will be providing you with a travel guide to help you plan your trip to the hackathon. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to us at support@hackforindia.tech
I just graduated, can I still come to an event?
Yes. Anyone who is graduated still eligible to attend an Hack For India hackathon. But the first preference will be given to the students.
What if I don’t know how to code?
Not a problem! It’s entirely irrelevant what your experience is going into a hackathon, as long as you’re willing to learn and have fun. There will be plenty of mentors and fellow hackers to help you out.
Will I annoy people if I ask them questions?
No! Hackathon's are all about learning and sharing knowledge. Asking questions is a great way to learn new things and meet new people. Don’t be afraid to ask questions, no matter how simple you think they are.
What if I don’t have a team?
No worries! We've a good discord community, you may look around there for the same https://discord.hackforindia.tech. You can find your team members there.
Where can I sleep?
We will have a designated sleeping area for hackers. You can bring your own sleeping bag or air mattress. We also recommend bringing a pillow and blanket for maximum comfort.
Will there be food?
Yes! We will be providing breakfast, lunch, and dinner. We will also have plenty of snacks and drinks throughout the event.
